MJ Seo is the Owner of Blush Events. She grew up in Seoul, Korea attended college in Boston, MA and made Los Angeles her home 15 years ago.
She joined the Air Force and completed basic training at Lackland in San Antonio, Texas. She attended Tech training at Keesler Air Force Base in Mississippi, to become an Air Force Reserve Personnelist.
She loves people! She loves celebrations! And she loves helping couples plan their weddings! She likes to bring her kindness, positive attitude, her passion for logistically detailed events and proactive approach to all of my events, making the wedding planning experience both seamless and enjoyable for her clients. Yes! She loves to have fun!
She has planned over 400 weddings in California and many of them have taken place all over the United States, including New York, Minnesota, Chicago and Las Vegas.
Her favorite wedding day moment is just before the couple goes down the aisle. This moment makes her so happy to know they are walking down the aisle to marry their best friend!

We truly believe that a wedding is a joyous event that signifies the beginning of a new life – one together, as a couple. This should be a celebration to honor not only you + your spouse but to thank those {your guests} who have and will support you as you embark on the adventure that is marriage.
While each wedding is a unique reflection of the couple in which various elements are often highlighted, altered, or omitted all together we believe there is still a standard pattern or formula to any great event. Blush Events is interested in tailoring this experience to your needs, your personality, + your budget.
Below is a collection of common questions + their answers to help you learn more about how we can help you create your unique event!
WHAT’S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A WEDDING PLANNER AND A VENUE COORDINATOR?
At first glance this questions seems easy – a wedding planner plans the wedding and a venue coordinator coordinates the venue. But of course, there is more to it than that. The real answer to this questions is another question (we’re getting deep on this one!) and that is: who is this person working for? In the end the venue coordinator, no matter how knowledgeable or good they are at their job, works for the venue and the wedding planner works for you. The venue coordinator’s responsibility – Giving a tour of the venue, managing the calendar of events for the space, providing clients with a list of vendors for the space, and even being present for the day-of to ensure all contractual agreements regarding venue use are upheld. While they may have your final headcount, or reception layout, or even help put menu cards on the table they are one valuable piece of an overall puzzle your wedding planner has helped you to envision and arrange.
do you offer “day-of”?
We do not. And no one should! Month-of is our smallest package, for $2,900 and is executed by senior coordinators.
DO YOU WORK WITH AN ASSISTANT?
Oh yes! Trying to run an event solo is like trying to tell a story with your hands tied behind your back. Sure, you could get it done but it’s never quite as effective. All of our services include a planner and an event assistant.
WHAT HAPPENS IF YOU CAN’T BE AT MY WEDDING?
MJ is lucky enough to work in the company of several amazing, compassionate, and talented professionals. Rest assured should anything happen to her or her team someone of equal or greater value would be present at your event to uphold your vision and that timeline!
WILL YOU TRAVEL?
Yes! Please note that travel is covered in Southern California. Further travel may result in additional fees (i.e. hotel rooms, meals, etc) depending on the details of the event.

DO YOU PLAN ANYTHING OTHER THAN WEDDINGS?
Yes! MJ started in Corporate Event Planning working on dinners, presentations, and event coordinated travel arrangements.
She has planned Rehearsal Dinners, Baby and Bridal Showers and Birthday Parties. We’re open to helping to make sure your event is amazing no matter what the occasion!
WHAT IS YOUR PAYMENT STRUCTURE?
Generally, we request a 10% deposit at the time of booking with the remaining 90% balance being due no later than 7 days prior to the event.
IF I NEED TO CANCEL MY WEDDING IS THE RETAINER REFUNDABLE?
All retainers are non-refundable.
WHEN SHOULD WE BOOK YOU FOR OUR WEDDING?
Yesterday. No, really. We only take a limited number of contracts to ensure each of our clients is well looked after! There may be 52 weeks in the year but there are some very popular wedding dates in there and we would hate to send you the “sorry we’re already booked” email.
